Obtained by chlorination of very pure linear aliphatic hydrocarbons and marketed under the name ESSECHLOR, Altair Chemical chlorinated-paraffin differ in the percentage of chlorine, from 30 to 70%, and in the length of the paraffinic chain, medium C14-17, long C18-20 and extra-long C20-30.
Essechlor chlorinated-paraffin are widely used as additives for the production of plasticized PVC, lubricant-coolant mixtures for the metal cutting and printing sector, for the formulation of paints, enamels and sealants, in the rubber and leather industry.
Confirming Altair’s attention to customer needs, it is possible to make taylor-made productions, able to meet particular needs of chlorine content, viscosity and stability.
